Airport
Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport is publicly owned by the City of Sanford and is located 4 miles from Sanford's Downtown. 

Assessing
The Assessor's Office maintains information on real estate, personal property tax assessments and property tax maps.

City Clerk
The Department of City Clerk has three major functions: Elections, Vital Records, and Issuing permits and licenses.

City Manager
As a City, Sanford operates as a city council/mayor/manager form of government. This means the City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible to the City Council, for the proper administration of all, except as otherwise provided in the Charter, affairs of the City. 

Code Enforcement
The Codes Enforcement Office is responsible for administering and enforcing various City and State codes and laws, as well as adopting codes relating to safety, construction, and development. 

Economic Development
Sanford Regional Economic Growth Council is a private, non-profit corporation. Whose services include real estate site searches, tax incentives identification and valuation, workforce analysis, financing coordination, data collection and analysis, and site visit facilitation

The Sanford Fire Department is a focused on providing the highest quality of service to our residents. The Sanford Fire Department responds to about 4,000 calls for service each year.

The General Assistance Department provides temporary support to assist adults in meeting their basic needs for housing, utilities, personal needs, and transportation.

The Sanford Police Department works in partnership with our community to protect lives and property, and to enforce laws impartially. The mission of the Sanford Police Department is to provide excellent Law Enforcement service.

Public Works

The Sanford Department of Public Works serves to maintain and enhance the infrastructure of the Municipality through Stewardship of the City’s roadways, bridges, sidewalks, drainage, parking, and Environmental Services: providing the most reliable and safe systems possible given the resources available.

Sanford Regional Communications & Dispatch
Sanford Regional Communications Center is a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for all 9-1-1 calls made in Acton, Berwick, Kennebunk, Lebanon, Limerick, Newfield, North Berwick, Sanford, Springvale, Shapleigh, and South Berwick. 

Sewerage District

The Sanford Sewerage District protects public health, water quality, and the environment by maintaining a wastewater collection system and treatment facility in a manner that assures compliance with all policies, permits, and regulations set forth by the board of trustees, Maine Department of Environmental Protection, and Environmental Protection Agency.

Treasurer/Tax Collector
The City of Sanford's Treasurer’s office is essentially the tax collection arm of the City and is responsible for collecting all monies payable to the City of Sanford.

Water District
The Sanford Water District serves the City of Sanford (including the Village of Springvale) Maine.  The District is a Quasi-Municipal entity with a three-member board of trustees.
