Stenton Trust Mill Redevelopment

The Stenton Trust Mill redevelopment site plan received preliminary approval from the Sanford Planning Board at its meeting on April 5, 2023.



The project plans were presented by representatives of WinnDevelopment, a family-run and skilled New England mill developer.



The structure will be converted into 90 units with varying income restrictions. The apartments will range in size from one to three bedrooms. The residential units will be located on floors 2 through 5, with the first floor of the building being common facilities and potential future commercial space.



During the presentation, WinnDevelopement displayed images of other former mill buildings that they had restored and mentioned that it had worked on several projects of a similar nature around New England. The Stenton Trust building's exterior will be brought back to "as new" state.



Construction is slated to start in the spring of 2024- Applications/Paperwork is anticipated to take up the rest of this year.
