HIGHWAY EXCAVATION & TRAFFIC CONTROL PERMIT
The purpose of this ordinance is to establish standards for traffic control for all construction projects in the right of way. This shall be required by all individuals, organizations, contractors, or other entities whose work in or adjacent to public rights of way affect or influence vehicular, pedestrian, or any other passage by the public through the rights of ways.

INERT FILL AGREEMENT
There are occasionally projects that generate inert fill (such as dirt, loam, gravel, roadway subgrade, etc.) and DPW accepts and maintains a pre-approved list of locations that have requested the deposit of inert fill materials on nearby properties.  Property Owners will need to complete the application and provide a map on the proposed deposit location and use. Once approved, Inert Fill Permits need to be verified monthly by phone to (207) 324-9140 and expire annually on November 15th.

UTILITY LOCATION PERMIT
Utilities are required by MRS Title 35-A, Chapter 23 to obtain a Utility Location Permit from MaineDOT and/or the Municipality of Sanford.
