Sanford DPW: Operations And Maintenance
Sanford's Operations & Maintenance forces consist of the Highway and Garage Divisions. The Highway Division performs the following duties:
- Winter Weather Response
- Incident Response Traffic Control
- Street Sweeping
- Pothole Response
- Tree Trimming/Cutting
- Roadway Shoulder Grading
- Gravel Road Grading
- Drainage Structure Replacements
- Drainage Ditching
- Roadside Mowing
- Sign Maintenance/Street Name Replacement
The Garage Division maintains the City's fleet of vehicles and equipment used to perform the work above.

FLEET MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
The Department of Public Work’s Fleet Management Program seeks to optimize the delivery of these services by documenting the processes of: drafting specifications, purchasing, utilizing, maintaining, managing, and decommissioning both vehicles and equipment required by the Department in order to fulfill the mission of the Public Works Department.
