At 8:20 AM the Sanford Regional Communications Center received a call from an untraceable VOIP phone number, that there was an active shooter dressed in a black coat and black pants with a long rifle on the first floor of the high school. Various schools around the State of Maine received similar calls. The call was deemed a hoax but the trauma is real for our community.
