SS4A Public Outreach Schedule

The City of Sanford is currently participating in the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Grant Program through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and is actively seeking to engage a diverse array of Sanford residents in discussions on pedestrian, multi-modal, and vehicle safety through public meetings. These meetings aim to encourage wider participation from a diverse range of residents and stakeholders in Sanford/Springvale, with a specific focus on identifying individuals who may be underserved in terms of transportation, as indicated by data from the US Census Bureau.

The locations of the public meetings are as follows:

  • February 5, at the Sanford VFW (1 Hutchinson St., Sanford) from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
  • February 7, at York County Community Action (6 Spruce St., Sanford) from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
  • February 7, at the Memorial Gym Café (678 Main St., Sanford) from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • February 14, at the American Legion (656 Main St., Springvale) from Noon - 1:00 pm
  • February 14, Springvale Library (443 Main St., Springvale) from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
  • February 14, at the Elks Club (13 Elm St., Sanford) from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • February 21, at Nasson Little Theater (457 Main St., Springvale) from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
  • February 21, at Sanford Community Adult Education (668 Main St, Sanford) from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • February 27, in the City Council Chambers/Zoom (919 Main St., Sanford) from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
