Governor Mills visited Sanford on Monday, October 17th. While in Sanford, the Governor held a business round table, where she met with City leadership, business owners, and residents. Following the round table, the Governor and MaineDOT Commissioner Bruce Van Note toured Sanford's downtown to gain an understanding of the impacted area and scope related to the RAISE Grant recently awarded to the City.

While on the tour, City Manager Buck commented to the Commissioner and Governor that the partnership between the City and MDOT is so strong that it is almost like our Public Works Department is a division inside of MDOT on these shared Projects.
