A Façade Grant is being offered by the City of Sanford to owners or tenants of commercial properties on Main Street, between Lebanon Street and Roberts Street.  This is an incentive to improve the outside appearance of the downtown.  The buildings must include a commercial space on the first floor.  The maximum grant awarded is $25,000.  A 25% minimum private investment match is required.  This is a federally funded program through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
